Cool restaurant in La Mesa. Many people drive right by but you should stop in. Appetizers big enough to share good salads and steaks you cook to your perfection on their grill. The turquoise room is awesome and regularly has live entertainment. The whole place has an awesome vintage feel and the bar has awesome drink menu.
It's a great place to have a nice meal and take your time. Nothing is rushed, so if you need to get somewhere pick another evening to visit Riviera. We love the baked beans, and the wedge salad. The bar makes a nice Cosmo, and that bacon cake is worth a try... I know, just get it and shut up.
This place lets you cook your own steak! You can pay around $5 for them to do it for you though.. The band was excellent! A small chamber jazz/swing band, and there's a patio we could smoke and have our drinks on, I also got my wings brought out to me there... This is a HIP, HIP joint daddy-o! :D
Great place to grill a steak. The potato skins are really good; i think they make them from scratch in-house. Great karaoke and live music sometimes.

This place has a cool vibe and the potential to be great. I love the grill area, and being an outgoing guy, I find it easy to start up a conversation with the other people that are cooking. It's a very social place all around.
I am experienced at grilling beef, but I heard many people kind of wondering what to do.. they could really benefit from a little instruction. General cooking times, etc. could help people know how to get what they want. I would also say that they could add some seasoning options.
