I've made some serious mistakes in the eyes of God, when I felt ashamed and that I had let them down the Rabbi and his wife welcomed me with open arms and understanding hearts, not judgement. When catastrophe stroke my family in several unimaginable ways it was the Rabbi and his wife who were there for us. They are spiritual leaders but they will also be your family. The holy spirit works through them.
Overall I found the Rabbi to be pretentious. This was not my first time attending. Though his speaking was energetic, it sounded more of a doctoral dissertation than teaching. He actually scauffed at folks who "try to sound Jewish" when emailing him asking questions. This was a HUGE turn off. As a Rabbi "teacher" shouldn't you encourage learning vice repeatedly driveing the wedge between Jews and non-Jews? Overall, arrogant and pretentious. Won't be going again.
